repl.it is an app development service (abused as 24/7 hosting by exploits that may now be patched) used previously on Kaboom by bot developers who are unable to leave a spare device running to host their bot, or pay others to do that for them. Historically, RecycleBot was hosted on a paid repl.it plan.

The free plan didn't allow for a private repository, so your bot's source code was made public unless you paid. This was abused on a number of occasions to steal Discord tokens and start instances of bots not under their owner's control

Due to its low barrier to entry, it saw widespread use by skids like MrHonir.

The service has fell out of popularity on Kaboom in recent years, in part due to the advent of Chipmunk's sharedvm but also due to the service's sharp decline in quality.
