Ayunboom

Ayunboom was a Kaboom clone that operated sporadically until 2026 where the server transitioned into TFreedom and no longer qualified as a Kaboom clone.

Playerbase

Ayunboom had support for the Eaglercraft client, meaning that anyone with a browser and a GPU could connect to the server.

Due to Eaglercraft's incredibly low barrier to entry and ability to run on low-power devices issued to students by schools, like the Chromebook, combined with the initial popularity boom of Eaglercraft, it had a very large playerbase comprised mostly of unaware children. Great to troll, but unfortunately the world isn't just trolling, leading to some instances of what are likely to be grooming attempts to go entirely unmoderated.

Donations

In one of the later incarnations of the clone, ayunami2000 configured a scheduled server-wide broadcast to ask the playerbase for donations, with the server being almost identical to Kaboom, which has always operated at a financial loss for MissingTexture. ayunami2000 made no public attempt to contact the server owner or the maintainers of the plugins before begging for money with the work of other people. He probably didn't make any money though, since small children don't have any money.
