node-minecraft-protocol is a JavaScript library that implements the Java Edition and Bedrock Edition protocol.

It has remained a popular library for Kaboom bot development throughout the server's history, but its popularity has waned in recent times due to their recent slowness to update[1][2][3][4] and bugs introduced by sloppy updates to modern protocol versions.

Mineflayer is a controversial library that provides a high-level wrapper around this library.
