The Great Denissing is the process of having denis's bot mewo repeatedly join and spam /deop and /gmsp on Kaboom and its clones.
This is a partial filter war, done specifically to annoy members of the community and discourage new players from joining.
It is not confirmed, but this might be in correlation to the recent DOSing of chipmunk's Forgejo service, because after Amy crashed mewo, chipmunk's Forgejo started working again.
Defences
On some Kaboom clones, mewo is filtered serverside.
On clones that do not have such filters, a variety of tactics collectively known as "crashing mewo" are employed to stop it and deter it from joining further.
Status
As of 15 August 2026, the Great Denissing is still ongoing and has been for probably weeks by now.
cxvqo is increasingly inactive on the server, and it's possible (we hope) that this will end soon.
