Extras is the plugin responsible for granting players OP when they join, and provides miscellaneous "extra" functionality to the server via commands.
Messaging
As of the merging of PR #373, clients connected to the server are able to broadcast plugin messages to all other connected clients. This allows for much more efficient data transfers between clients, as it is not restricted by how efficiently you can encode data into a string, is not ratelimited, and cannot be impeded by commands.
Uses
chat-attestation
A protocol implemented on top of Extras messaging that broadcasts & verifies signature information for player chat messages, to combat sudo abuse & impersonation attempts and may also be used to verify a user.
Bot authentication
Messaging can be used to implement multi-step bot authentication without OP, clogging chat or binary-to-string encoding.
