==Speed==

A single command block executes every game tick (50ms, meaning 20 commands per second with just one block), and with more you can execute more commands per tick. Overwriting the command blocks on a faster interval will not yield faster execution.

==Placement==

Implementations of command cores usually place their command blocks at the minimum Y value of the dimension they're in, and attempt to prevent command core conflicts (also known as core riding) by introducing a random offset. Due to the unnecessarily large nature of some bot cores, this has oftentimes proved to not be an effective solution.

Modern bots implement command core sections at a best effort level by first searching for a [https://minecraft.wiki/w/Java_Edition_protocol/Chunk_format#Chunks_columns_and_Chunk_sections chunk section/column] without any command blocks in it, and placing command blocks there.

Earlier revisions of [[HBot]] are theorized to be among the first to implement command cores in a bot, if not the first.
