Starbot is a bot for the kaboom server written in java using [[MCProtoLib|MCProtocollib]].
It follows a rolling release cycle with frequent resets in the name of performance, security, or other changes.
The Starbot prefix used to be '\' before it became '$' and then was rather recently changed to 'sb!'
Starbot has had a few opensource versions namely V4, OpenStarbot, and LibreStarbot but the main project remains closed source.
Starbot used to feature a lock command however that has since been removed. Instead of a typical integer permission system Starbot now uses permission nodes such as general.help.

The developer of Starbot is TFTWPhoenix however Starbot has taken inspiration from many other bots such as [[HBot]] and [[RecycleBot]].
